Yes, one of our most infamous, hated trends, by design. A fail all on its own. Though, I must also make the observation that no matter how tempting making a logo out of initials might be, if you initials then form a butt, you have failed. Butts by Design. Cut and print.

PPEF gives the gift of education. What I don’t understand is, why are they crushing that poor star-shaped person between their thumb and forefinger? Is that meant to be a subliminal C? Is the business name actually CRUSHING Promotional Products Education Foundation?

If you want to appeal to babies, just go right to the demographic and have a baby design your logo.

That’s what Baby Cafe did. I think a baby might have designed that font as well.

Probably a coincidence: Your business’ name reads aloud as “Aryan Son” and you have a lightning bolt – a symbol often used in the white power movement – in your logo.

Regardless, I expect Big Daddy to be a guy I meet in jail, not the one who bails me out.

How many of you have had to deal with a client who had a complete train wreck of a logo but you knew you could never ever talk them into redesigning it because they seem to have some strange attraction or bond to it that utterly defied reason?

*Thousands of hands raise in unison.*

We call this Logo Love – an all too common problem created when people fall madly in love with their logos. Some of the warning signs to help you recognize if your client has this are:

1) Your client becomes defensive, upset, or mad when approached about redesigning their logo.

2) Your client begins to cry when you tell them what you honestly think of their logo.

3) Your client has attempted to put their logo on to a birthday cake (see example):
