In case you’re wondering if you’re dealing with a Lord or a Lurd, here’s a helpful tipsheet:
- A lord has power or authority over others. A lurd has power or authority over their couch and bowl of cheese doodles.
- Lord can mean “Almighty” or “God”. Lurd can mean “Steve” or “Waiter”.
- Lords are sometimes called to serve their Queen. Lurds are sometimes called about that overdue Blockbuster rental.
We’re still not sure if we’re dealing with Lords or Lurds here.
